There is still room to escape ~ Emu egg Private collection This piece was commissioned for a woman who works for Simon Faser University in 2004. It's an emu egg which has four layers to it. The outer layer is dark green. This is followed by a light green and then a medium green. The final layer before breaking through to the inside is pure white. The piece has three components: oak leaves, spring starflowers, narcissus flowers. Each component plays off the other to create a story of potential trapping by the narcissus flower. |
